Autism Waiver Services
Support for children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Maryland.
Nurturing Minds Health & Wellness provides person-centered Autism Waiver services designed to improve daily living skills, strengthen family support, and promote meaningful inclusion at home and in the community.
Family Consultation (FC):
Guidance, training, and support to help families navigate resources and strengthen caregiving skills
Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS):
One-on-one support to build daily living skills, increase independence, and improve social development
Respite Care (RC):
Short-term relief for caregivers to ensure families receive the support they need

Children and youth ages 1–21 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Families needing training, support, and individualized skill development
Caregivers seeking help with communication, routines, behavior, and daily living
Schools and community partners involved in coordinated care
Eligibility Overview
To qualify for Autism Waiver services in Maryland, individuals must:
Have a developmental disability that:
Manifests before age 22
Is likely to continue indefinitely
Results in limitations in major life activities
Complete the Maryland Autism Waiver Application (available through MDH)
